Thank you so much Mat and Peter.. your beautiful service made an ordinary movie day much much more pleasant and personal. much appreciated. We live 2 min from the cinemas so we do watch quite a lot of movies here. We have always felt how great all the staff are really..always kind and ready to help. Thankx guys :).
Nice cinema with 6 screens showing most new releases. On my last visit the Air conditioning wasn't working so it was quite hot, but a refund was offered along with an apology from the staff before entering. I wanted to see the film so didn't take the offer. Tickets can be booked online and collected, or booked on arrival. Good choice of snacks and drinks but these are expensive as is to be expected of most cinemas.

This is a lovely cinema, especially if you see a show in theatre 1 in the balcony seats. It's more of a true theatre experience. It's the largest single theatre in Oxford and as a result when you see a big premiere movie you end up with a nice community feel (people clapping, etc). The only problem is that there is no lift to the balcony seats, which are worth the upgraded price to get.
Whenever I go with my disable son Steven, all the staffs there are very friendly, supportive & helpful. Many thanks William & everyone.

Great local cinema with comfortable seats and nice atmosphere. Not one of those sterile mega-theatres.
This is a fantastic cinema and a favourite for decades. One of the best places to see a great assortment of films. The recent refresh is very nice. But, screen 1 is just like any other cinema now. Views from the front section are not good - the screen is too big for that and terrible from the edges. For a 16:9 movie, there aren't curtains or any other kind of blocking. It doesn't look great. Other Picturehouses have managed to retain a certain charm so I am disappointed. I'll stop pop in from time to time but it's time to take a look at the Curzon.

I'm in a wheelchair and I find access very good and the staff very helpful. The theatre itself is very atmospheric and well priced. The only down side is price of ice-cream at the interval..! Jeez 😮
One of the best in the West! Box Office Staff are very helpful as well as the Front of House / Bar Staff are too. Nothing is too much trouble for the Ushers, always available to help with anything. The outside of the building looks tacky but the inside is just a completely different world. The venue is run by ATG (Ambassador Theatre Group) so what more can you expect?!

A small, cosy and intimate venue. Excellent for young children. Seating is generally on cushions and several chairs for those unable to sit on the floor. I recommend getting there early to get good seats as there is nothing worse than a late commer, generally male who is parking, sitting in front of the children and obscuring their view. The performances have been excellent and the 1 hour time frame is perfect for young children's concentration spans. I have been to several shows and they are professionally produced, entertaining for both children and adults with the added bonus of being affordable compared to the larger theatres. Highly recommended. Parking is always limited in Oxford so get there early. There is space for half a dozen pushchair s at the bottom of the stairs. At the end of the prrformance they usually allow the children to meet and interact with the props and then allow photos.
We saw "A new coat for Christmas" here and it was superb, it's a small studio theatre setting that is very interactive and brilliant for young children. Definitely recommended.
